Jim Crowley
President and CEO
Jim Crowley is Turbine's president and CEO. He brings a wealth of operational experience to Turbine and is responsible both for the vision and the day-to-day operations of the Company. Prior to joining Turbine, Jim spent three years as Chief Operating Officer of m-Qube, Inc which he helped turn into one of North America's largest mobile media companies.
Jim also spent eight years as the Chief Operating Officer of Network Plus, Inc., one of the country's largest publicly traded competitive telecommunications and data providers. Crowley is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania Law School and Connecticut College.
Peter Faubert
Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer
Peter Faubert joined Turbine in 2005 and serves as Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer.
Prior to joining Turbine, he served as VP of Finance, Corporate Controller and Principal Accounting Officer of Viisage Technology, Inc., a leading provider of advanced technology identity solutions. Before that, he was the Chief Financial Officer and co-founder of Advanced Wireless Automation, an early stage technology company that designed wireless surveillance equipment, VP of Finance and Corporate Controller of Burntsand, Inc., and held various financial management positions at Ariba, Inc. Peter was a manager in the transaction services practice at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP and began his career at Deloitte & Touche LLP where he was licensed as a CPA in Massachusetts in 1997.
Peter has his B.S. in Business Administration from Northeastern University.
Christopher Dyl
Chief Technology Officer
Chris Dyl joined the Company in April 1995 as Turbine's first employee. Considered a pioneer of the industry, his vision of massively multiplayer online role-playing games and the technology behind them has propelled Chris Dyl to the most senior ranks of the game development community.
Today, he serves as the Chief Technology Officer and is the primary architect of Turbine's technology platform, including the state-of-the-art graphics, console, networking, and large-scale world-creation technologies. Chris leads the development team who enhances those systems and researches the next-generation of online technologies in order to ensure Turbine maintains its technology edge.
Prior to Turbine, he attended Worcester Polytechnic Institute, where he studied physics, computer science, mechanical engineering and electrical engineering.
Helen Ra
General Counsel
Helen Ra joined Turbine in 2003 and serves as General Counsel. Prior to joining Turbine, she was a Partner with the law firm of McDermott, Will & Emery and a member of the Private Equity/Emerging Companies Group. Helen's practice included start-up company representation, venture capital financing, mergers and acquisitions, public offerings, and intellectual property licensing. Prior to her legal career, she held various positions with GTE Corporation, including product management (network data services), engineering and other management roles.
Helen graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and received her J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center.
Craig Alexander
Vice President of Product Development
Craig Alexander joined Turbine in 2007 as the Vice President of Product Development and oversees the development and production of all of Turbine's franchises including The Lord of the Rings Online™, Dungeons & Dragons Online™, Asheron's Call®, and all future projects. Craig brings over twenty years of engineering and studio general management experience to Turbine.
Most recently, he held the position of Vice President and General Manager of Z-Axis, an Activision studio. In this role, he managed the development of multiple console titles, including the 2006 X-Men game. Previously, he was Vice President and Executive Producer for Electronic Arts Partners, managing a portfolio of externally developed PC and console titles ranging from licensed movie games to new intellectual property, and Vice President of Online for Electronic Arts' Westwood Studios in Las Vegas managing EA's MMORPG Earth & Beyond. Prior to Electronic Arts, he was General Manager for Sierra Online's original development studio near Yosemite National Park, shipping numerous titles and overseeing Sierra's entry into the MMORPG segment.
Craig graduated from the University of Southern California with a BSEE in Computer Engineering and received his MBA from the Anderson School at UCLA.
Jerome Lalin
Vice President of Marketing
Jerome Lalin joined Turbine in September 2006. As VP of Marketing, he leads the market, product and consumer strategy for Turbine and its franchises.
Jerome brings over 15 years of broad international executive marketing and management experience with media businesses in start-up, turnaround and high-growth situations.
Prior to joining Turbine, Jerome was a Vice President at Houghton Mifflin Company where he was in charge of the marketing and development of the K-12 education testing division. Previously, as a VP of Marketing for Vivendi Games in Europe and Sr. VP and General Manager for Vivendi Games in the US, he has published, marketed and distributed over 400 games titles including brands like Blizzard, Sierra, Knowledge Adventure and Davidson in more than 10 countries.
He received his MBA from the ESSEC Business School in Paris, France.
Robert Ferrari
Vice President, Business Development
Robert Ferrari joined Turbine in April 2004 and serves as Vice President of Business Development. He is responsible for driving revenue and expanding Turbine’s business opportunities through a wide range of strategic partnerships. He drives initiatives for domestic and international publishing, licensing, digital and traditional distribution, online services revenue, and strategic technology partnerships. Robert brings over fifteen years of business development, sales and management experience from within the entertainment, consumer, and technology sectors.
Prior to joining Turbine, Robert held senior executive roles leading the business efforts of diverse start-ups, turnarounds and fortune 500 companies on a global basis. As a veteran of the digital media and online entrainment industries, Robert has been active in pioneering new technologies, products, and services in the B2C and B2B industries. His senior executive tenures include; VP Sales & Marketing at Philips Electronics/Digital Entertainment & Services, EVP Sales & Marketing at Merinta Entertainment Software, VP Business Development at Websurfer Inc, and Managing Director/Founder of Convergence Ventures. Robert has his B.S. in International Business Management from Stonehill College.
